12. Crabbing: Ocean Beach Jetty
To catch a crab in the rocks of a jetty, you need a clothespin with a 4-foot piece of twine, and some chicken bones or clam meat for bait. Put the twine through the hole in the spring of the clothespin and pinch the bait with the clothespin. Drop the clothespin with attached bait between the rocks of the beach jetty and hold onto the twine. You should not have to wait long before you are pulling a crab out of the water holding onto your bait with its claw.
