48. Stony Brook Grist Mill &Herring Run off Stony Brook Road off 6A, Brewster
The gristmill has a museum upstairs and grinds corn on Friday afternoon.
There is a short trail around the gristmill and a turning waterwheel. Directly across the street from the mill is the herring run. Herring season runs late April to early May. Even if the herring are not running this is a great place to let the kids explore.
